The dictionary says that the word “Glory” is “the height of achievement and prosperity.” It also says that it is “adoration and praise offered in worship.”
We are entering the next few months of what some consider the most “giving months.” These months that include Thanksgiving and Christmas, are seen by some as the “height” of their year. They cannot wait to see what they are going to “receive.”
While some are anticipating their “getting,” let’s not be shy in our giving. Mostly in “giving” an offering of glory and praise to our King, the one who made our giving and living possible.
Let’s give the gift that will last for all eternity, all year round, the gift of Jesus and His message of hope…salvation.
Bless us Father, God, as we “give” for You in Your Name. Amen.
Many of us are heading out soon to be with family and friends. The holidays seem so special because it's a chance to spend time with those who sometime we don't see as much during the year as we should.
Whatever your doing this holiday...I pray it will be safe. And a blessing.
Let's remember to lift up thanks to the One who makes it all possible. Our Father God.
And without Him--we not only would have little to be thankful for, we wouldn't know the joy of having a Savior who rescues and forgives...and saves.
Let's not only be blessed this holiday--but, be a blessing. Not looking for divine favor. But, to live our lives as an honor and praise to God.
